Welcome
to
Cambodia - the hidden kingdom
Cambodia, located in the heart of Southeast Asia, is arguably the jewel
of the region. Undiscovered for centuries, its wealth of natural beauty
and rich heritage continue to amaze and astound, with Angkor, the world
renowned cultural heritage site dating back to the earliest days of
cultured civilization, attracting visitors from all over the world.
Cambodia has places of interest all over the country but the principle
attractions can be divided into three main areas: Phnom Penh, Siem
Reap/Angkor, and the South coast. However, for eco-tourists, more and
more people are heading off the beaten track and venturing into the
hill-tribe regions of Rattanakiri, Mondulkiri, the Kirirom National
Park, and other more remote but beautiful rural areas.

"
Cash is best. Bring dollars if you already have
them, or Thai Bhat if you don't. Dollars (and to a
lesser extent Thai bhat) are accepted almost
everywhere in Cambodia, intermingled freely with
Riel. "
