Kia Ora,
Welcome
to New Zealand
!
New Zealand's spectacularly beautiful landscape includes vast
mountain chains, steaming volcanoes, sweeping coastlines, deeply
indented fiords and lush rainforests. New Zealand can be
compared in size to Great Britain, Colorado or Japan but with
only 4.2 million people, making it one of the world's least
crowded countries. New Zealand is famous for its Natural scenic
beauty and world wide adventure activities like Bungy jumping in
Queenstown. A temperate climate with relatively
small seasonal variation makes it an ideal year-round holiday
destination.
|
Factoid: "New
Zealand was first discovered by Europeans in 1642
when Dutch sailor Abel Tasman arrived. He left New
Zealand after several of his crew were killed by
Maoris, and it was not until 1769 that English
Captain James Cook arrived and mapped the land.. "
