Welcome
to Scandinavia !

Vigeland Sculpture Park, Oslo, NorwayScandinavia Tours - Scandinavia is located in the northern part of the European Continent, and consists of three countries: Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The term "Northern Europe" usually refers to a total of five countries: the three nations of Scandinavia, and neighboring Finland and Iceland.

If you have an opportunity to come, you must visit Scandinavia, with its breathtaking natural surroundings, its refined culture, and its sophisticated lifestyle.

Denmark: Denmark is the smallest and southernmost of the three countries that make up Scandinavia, sharing a border with Germany, extending to the continent of Europe.

Norway: Experience northern lights or midnight sun above the Arctic Circle, or visit the world famous Norwegian fjords with tall mountains and glaciers. Life in the capital of Oslo, or the Hanseatic city of Bergen on the west coast, and life in a coastal fishing village in the Arctic seem like two different worlds. You can try both within a few days.

Midnight sun and northern lights: Further north you join wildlife safaris to see whales and eagles. During summer the sun never sets in Northern Norway, and in winter the magical northern lights light up the totally dark sky. Furthest north, you stand on the North Cape, the northernmost point on mainland Europe, and feel the breeze from the North Pole.

Factoid: "Scandinavia usually refers to Denmark, Norway and Sweden Some experts argue for the inclusion of Finland and Iceland, though that broader region is usually known by the countries concerned as the Nordic countries. "

Sweden: Sweden is a unique country that occupies a long piece of land stretching from north to south. Using the capital city of Stockholm as a boundary, the country can be divided into two distinct areas, one northern and one southern, with different cultures and natural landscapes.

Finland: Finland is a land of interesting contrasts, such as the four seasons, the Midnight Sun and the winter darkness, urban and rural, East and West.

Best time to travel:

  • Norway: Norway shares the same latitude as Alaska, Greenland and Siberia, but compared to these areas Norway has a pleasant climate.

    • Spring: May to mid-June is when the scenery in Norway is at its most spectacular, with trees and flowers waking to life, snow in the mountains and melt water swelling the waterfalls. Orchards of flowering fruit trees along the Hardangerfjord in May are images of paradise.

    • Summer: Late June to early August

    • Autumn: In the autumn the landscape is painted in golden colours. The temperature drops slowly through September,

    • Winter: In winter much of Norway is usually transformed into a snow-clad paradise.

  • Sweden: Sweden enjoys a generally temparate climate, thanks to the Gulf Stream. Above the Arctic Circle, winter can be crisp and invigorating. In the south, winter is generally mild with an average of temperature above 0C/32F degrees, but temperatures can vary markedly in different parts of the country.

  • Denmark: The Danish climate is moderated by the warm Gulf Stream and is therefore milder than surrounding Scandinavian countries. Denmark has four distinct season.

    • Spring (April to May)

    • Summer (June, July and August) are the hottest.

    • Autumn (September to November) tends to be rainy and more overcast.

    • Winter (December to March) and is normally cold, with frost and snow.

  • Finland: Depends on what you would like to experience while in Finland. For plenty of pure white snow, visit between December and March. For long summer days and relaxing by the thousands of lakes, opt for June- August.
