Day 01: Colombo - Kandy (116kms /
3hrs)
Arrive Colombo. Meet and transfer to Kandy - the last
capital of the Sri Lankan Kings. enroute visiting the
Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela, which is a home to about 60
Elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. Also,
accompany the Elephants to a river close by to see them
having their daily baths. Arrive Kandy, Check in Hotel. In
the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and
thereafter witness a cultural show. Overnight stay at your
hotel in Kandy.
Day 02: Kandy
After breakfast do a city of Kandy.
The name Kandy conjures visions of a storied past, splendour,
legend, folklore, mystery and traditions lovingly kept alive
for countless years. Visit the Kandy Bazaar / market, a Gem
museum and a lapidary. Also, visit the Botanical Gardens in
Peradeniya, which was originally the pleasure gardens of the
Royalty. Nearly 4000 species of plants are found in this
garden and it is encircled by the Mahaweli River.

Day 03: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya enroute visiting a
tea plantation and a factory. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart
of Sri Lanka's tea country producing 50% of the world's best
tea. Sri Lanka's highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 ft)
is located here. Nuwara Eliya is the location for one of the
finest 18 hole golf courses in Asia. Check in at your hotel.
Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at your hotel in Nuwara
Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya: Nuwara
Eliya also known as "Little England" is located in the heart
of Sri Lankan hill country. Home of the famous Ceylon tea
and the rolling mountains are carpeted of velvety green tea
plantations, interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling
waterfalls. The cellubrious climate, misty glens and similar
to the British climate, make the place a must to include in
your travel itinerary. Located at the height of 1890 meters
above sea level. Temperatures are 140C-210C (Jan- April)
160C-180C (May-Aug) 150C- 180C (Sept-Dec).

Day 04: Nuwara Eliya - Colombo
(180kms / 4.5hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Colombo, enroute the St Clare’s
and Devon water fall’s. Check in at your hotel. In the
evening do a City / shopping tour of Colombo. In the
afternoon do a city tour of Colombo, observing the old
Parliament, the residential areas and the BMICH
(Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall) and
visit Fort. Also, visit the Majestic City shopping complex
and the ODEL Unlimited Dress Boutique, also visit the
Ceramic cooperation show room (Noritake). Overnight stay at
your hotel in Colombo.
Day 05: Colombo - Departure
After breakfast proceed to Airport for departure |
