Kullu and Manali are the twin valleys of Himachal Pradesh, known

Nestled in the Himalayas, the world's mightiest mountain ranges,

Kullu: Kullu is the capital
town of the Kullu District, in the state of Himachal Pradesh,
India. It is located on the banks of the Beas River in the Kullu
Valley about 10kms north of the Airport at Bhuntar.
The valley runs north to south of this river and is 80kms long.
The valley is also famous for its exquisitely woven colourful
hand made shawls and kullu caps.
Unique Feature: "Kullu
was once known as Kulanthpitha, means the end of the
Manali: Manali is perhaps
the most famous town and center of all tourist attraction in the
state. 40kms away from Kullu to the north, Manali is situated
near the end of the valley on the National Highway leading to
Leh. The landscape here is breath taking. One sees well-defined
snow capped peaks, the Beas river with its clear water meanders
through the town. On the other side are deodar and pine trees,
tiny fields and fruit orchards. It is an excellent place for a
holiday, a favorite resort for trekkers to Lahaul, Spiti,
Kinnaur, Leh and Zanskar regions in Kashmir valley. It is known
as the SWITZERLAND OF INDIA.
Shimla: Shimla is the Capital of
Himachal Pradesh and former Summer capital of British in India,
Shimla is surrounded by green hills and snow capped Himalayan
peaks. Shimla holds its heritage with old buildings from the
colonial era and local bazzars
5 Nights / 6 Days Shimla - Kullu - Manali Tour Package:
Day 01: Delhi - Shimla (370kms)
Arrive into New Delhi Airport. Meet & assistance on arrival at Delhi
Airport. Drive to Shimla. On arrival check-in Hotel. Evening explore the
Shimla's Mall area on your own. Cars are not
allowed on this road. Return to Hotel and stay Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Shimla
Have Breakfast at Hotel. Proceed for an Excursion to Kufri. Kufri is famous for its
Himalayan National Park, Poney and Yak Ride. Also one can see
the endless Himalayan Panorama from Kufri. After lunch,
explore the sight
seeing places in and around Shimla including Shimla mosques built
in 1830, Vice regal Lodge built in 1885, Christ Church
built in 1844, The Gaiety Theatre- the first beauty
contest of world was supposed to start 1887, The Grindlays
Bank 1912- the world wide bank started by Robert Melville Grindlay, The Scandal Point and The famous Shopping Plaza of
the North The Mall. Return and stay Overnight in Shimla.
Day 03: Shimla - Manali
Have breakfast at Hotel. Check out Hotel. Drive to Manali.
Manali is a tiny hill station on
the banks of River Beas is in the Kullu valley. Enroute pass
through tiny villages, farm lands, Mandi town and apple
orchards. A visit to Angoora farm is worth. On arrival
check-in to Hotel. Stay overnight in Manali.
Have breakfast at Hotel. Proceed for a Sightseeing - Visit Hadimba
temple which is surrounded by thick forest of Deodar tress.
Now declared as fragile zone. If time allows
and you love walking try to Manu temple in old Manali and the Tibetan market
which is worth a visit. Return and Overnight stay in Manali.
Excursion to Rohatang Pass (To be paid by the Guest Directly).
Situated at an altitude of 3979mtrs above sea level and
51kms outside Manali is the mighty Rohtang Pass - the
gateway to Lahaul-Spiti valley. It affords a wide panoramic
view of the mountains. Here one can see the majesty of the
mountains at its height and splendour. At the top of the
pass the air seems to glitter against the snow as you look
down over herringboned ridges into the Lahaul valley.
Evening at Leisure. Return and Overnight stay in Manali.
The NGT (National Green Tribunal) has put a
restriction of 800 petrol and 400 diesel vehicles to
go to the Rohtang Pass for tourism purposes every
day. The NGT has imposed Permit and Congestion
Charges for all vehicles passing through the
eco-sensitive Rohtang Pass area. The BRO
carries out maintenance of the Rohtang road on
Tuesdays. So vehicles are not permitted to go beyond
Gulaba barrier on Tuesdays.
Day 05: Manali - Chandigarh
Have early breakfast at Hotel. Check out Hotel. Drive to Chandigarh. On arrival
check-in Hotel. Later visit the world famous
Rock garden & Rose garden in Chandigarh. Return and stay Overnight at
Day 06: Chandigarh - Delhi (274kms)
Have breakfast at Hotel. Check out Hotel. Drive to Delhi and get dropped at
New Delhi Airport to connect to your homebound flight.
Rothang pass is only open from June to September,
has a well-deserved reputation for being very
dangerous because of unpredictable Snowstorms. In
fact in the local language, Rohtang literally means
the "pile of corpses."
